Projector Throw Distance Calculator

Given a projector throw ratio (from the manufacturer spec sheet) and the target image width, compute the front-lens-to-screen distance. Supports a ratio range (min/max) when the projector has zoom.

Limitations: Locates the FRONT LENS only — not ceiling, structural, or aisle-space constraints. Does not model lens shift limits. Assumes a 100% front-projection setup.

What to do next: Pull the throw ratio straight from the projector spec sheet; manufacturer marketing pages often round or simplify. For short-throw / ultra-short-throw projectors (< 0.6:1), this formula still applies.
